Meetings are held twice a month on Wednesday afternoons in Autumn and Spring at the Burgess Hall, which is at the back of the Unitarian Church on Notte Street, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
The Society’s main interest is in the study and appreciation of Shakespeare but we manage to enjoy ourselves in other ways too. Our meetings take a variety of forms. Lectures are given by visiting speakers or by Members. From time to time we have Members’ Evenings when members who choose may read or recite items of their choice from any form of literature or entertain us with music and other, more light-hearted, offerings. We also have Society lunches twice a year at various venues in Plymouth. All meetings are preceded by tea /coffee and biscuits.
There is no age limit to the membership. If you would like to come to a couple of our meetings before deciding to join us, you will be welcomed.
